Update for our customers and suppliers re Coronavirus/COVID-19
Updated: 13 May 2021
Kemet International Ltd remains open.
Telephone lines are manned between 9.00 and 16.00 (UK time).
Kemet play a vital role in keeping key industries functioning and it is important that we stay open and continue to provide the excellent service our company is known for, until the UK government specifically instructs us to do otherwise.
Examples of key industries are: Medical (Kemet process a critical part in ventilators), Power Generation and Oil & Gas (Kemet diamond abrasives are key in the manufacture and maintenance of critical safety valves).
We continue to follow guidance from the Government, Public Health England, the World Health Organisation and other public health bodies and continue to take measures to reduce the impact and risk of the virus within our organisation.
Our primary concern is always the safety of our people, their families and all those we work with. Vulnerable staff have been told to self-isolate in line with the government guidelines. Where possible, we are introducing home working and split shifts to minimise the possibility of spreading the virus.
We are supporting our people in taking all the appropriate precautions. Up to date information and advice is published across various media for our employees on a daily basis. As the situation changes, our focus will remain on keeping our people safe, whilst continuing to offer the excellent service and support that our customers have come to expect of us.
We deeply value our relationship with our customers and suppliers and want to assure you that we’re taking the necessary steps to protect you, our people, our operations and the services we provide. Putting the safety of our people first, travel to high-risk areas was stopped in February and this now includes visits to/from customers, partners and suppliers. Instead we will use teleconference technologies, (phone, skype, etc) to connect.
We are also closely monitoring the potential impact that this situation could have on our supply chain and business operations and taking the appropriate measures to minimise any effect this may have on product manufacture and delivery. We have good stock levels of product and raw materials having previously introduced three month buffer stocks to minimise any effect Brexit might have had. As yet, we are not experiencing any major difficulties in our supply chain and currently have no difficulties delivering to our domestic customers and exporting products from the UK to locations around the world.
We’ll let you know as soon as possible if there is any change to this that may impact you and thank you for your understanding, if this is the case.
Should you have any queries, please email sales@kemet.co.uk
From everyone at Kemet, we wish you all the very best health and safety for you and your families.
