Automatic Milling Machine for Sample Preparation
The SPECTRAL MM is a highly advanced automatic milling machine designed for fast and efficient preparation of non-ferrous and steel samples for emission and X-ray spectrometer analysis. Its robust design, low noise and emission levels, and fully enclosed and sound-insulated structure with LED spot-light makes it a reliable and efficient solution for sample preparation.
The machine is equipped with an automatic sample feed system with precise speed control and adjustable milling parameters such as feedrate, milling depth, and spindle speed, which can be fine-tuned to different materials for optimum surface results. The reproducible flat surfaces are achieved through the use of a column mounted on taper bearings.
Suitable for a variety of sample shapes and sizes, the SPECTRAL MM can handle specimens with diameters of up to 80mm and can be fitted with special cutter heads with diamond or tungsten carbide tips. A three-point chuck is included as standard, with additional clamping devices available as optional accessories.
Safety is a top priority in the design of the SPECTRAL MM, which includes several safety circuits and an electronic brake system for rapid stopping of the milling head. The interlocking safety device ensures the hood cannot be opened before the milling motor has stopped.
The machine also features advanced techniques and software, including a programmable HMI touch screen interface, allowing for increased productivity, sample consistency, and operator comfort. With the ability to preset the amount of material to be removed with precise accuracy and the option for multi-pass milling operations, the SPECTRAL MM is an excellent choice for sample preparation.
The SPECTRAL MM also features a programmable return position system with three different stop modes and a database with a library of 25 different milling programs with related specimen names or numbers that can be easily recalled. The milling parameters, including milling tips, are also stored for easy selection, making the SPECTRAL MM a convenient and highly efficient solution for sample preparation.
